It’s official, responsiveness matters most!
After conducting a survey with over 200 South Florida businesses, RapidIT found that the service quality of ‘responsiveness’ mattered most to companies when picking an IT service provider to look after their business IT interests.
The survey was conducted among a diverse group of small to medium sized businesses from various industries, including healthcare, finance, legal, and retail. The respondents were asked to rate the importance of certain features when choosing an IT service provider including reputation, reliability, security, flexibility, scalability, price and responsiveness. The results showed that responsiveness was the most important feature, with 76% of the respondents ranking it the most valued quality – with reputation and security ranking highly alongside it.
The results of this survey are of no surprise. In today’s business world, time is money. Businesses require quick and efficient solutions when things go wrong to ensure that their operations continue to run smoothly. They expect their service providers to be available and responsive within a short time frame and available not only remotely but in person to quickly resolve problems that arise in a timely manner.
The survey results also showed that customers value a proactive approach to IT management from their service provider. They hoped that their service provider was actively monitoring their IT infrastructure for potential issues before they occur and taking the necessary steps to prevent them.
In addition to responsiveness, the survey results also highlighted the importance of reliability, security, flexibility, and scalability – all essential to ensuring IT needs are met in a rapidly changing business environment. Reputation and security were rated particularly important, as customers need to be confident that their data is protected by a company trusted by others like them and their systems are compliant with certain data security obligations. Respondents also highlighted the importance of being able to access flexible service packages that met their current needs in a scalable way and what help them adapt quickly to changing business and market conditions.
